Head Girl Message - Cara Snowden

My name is Cara Snowden, and I am Head Girl at Glenmoor Academy this year.   I am going to aim to involve all students in the curriculum as well as co-curricular activities, making sure every student gets everything out of their time whilst at Glenmoor. During my time at the Academies I have been given many opportunities to participate in events and I strongly believe that every student must also be involved.

I am aiming to continue making the Academy an enjoyable and friendly environment where students from every year group feel comfortable around one another. The senior prefect team will be working very closely with Heads of Year so we are available if any concerns arise. We will support everyone and celebrate everyone’s personal achievements.

I, alongside the incredible prefect team and staff, promise to spread enthusiasm, dedication and excitement around the Academies; whether this is through sport, lessons, expressive arts or activities like Charities Week and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

The Head Boy, Archie Birks and I will be working very closely to ensure unity among the Academies. We will make sure that both the boys’ and the girls’ Academies are striving and they are both achieving the best they can. We strongly support the Academies’ STRIVE agenda, which aims to make all students smart, thinkers, resilient, inter/independent, visionary and expressive. One of our main aims for next year is to involve every student in striving to be their best.

We are all very #GW Proud.
