Baylin Robbins, Head Girl
I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to
represent the student voice as Head Girl of Glenmoor and Winton academies. This
Academic year we, the leadership team, are determined to give everyone in the
academies an enjoyable year and strong support. We will work hard at providing
the best for every student every day and promote an all-inclusive, positive
school that I know GW can be. From
starting at the Academies not feeling as confident in myself, constant guidance
and encouragement not only from the staff but also the students here at the
Academies has allowed me to take on this role in full confidence that I can
provide the best for what is needed for every student. As a student body we
have been given many wonderful opportunities throughout the years for example:
sporting teams and matches, performing arts productions, Duke of Edinburgh
expeditions including educational and worthwhile trips; which, I feel, provides
a rewarding experience for us all. GW has constantly inspired and motivated me
to excel myself and form myself into the capable, determined and driven person
I am today. I believe the staff members here at the Academies have had a huge
role to play in that and I am eternally grateful for the constant enthusiasm along
with the desire they always have, to go above and beyond for us all. So, taking
inspiration from this, I hope to be a kind, encouraging and helpful leader as -to
me- being Head Girl means offering my absolute best for the students and the
school. Therefore, anyone who needs my help or guidance please don’t hesitate
to ask as I will be there for you. Once again, I am so excited to work with of the
amazing team of GW ambassadors and Head Boy, Beau Roper, and I hope we can help
contribute to an outstanding year.
