Mr B Antell

With the summer GCSE exams fast approaching I am acutely aware of the need to provide year 11 students with every possible opportunity to achieve the exam success this summer all their hard work and dedication deserve. With this in mind we are planning to open the school to year 11 students only on Monday 5th May (May day holiday). There will be a programme of structured revision organised for the day once I have confirmed numbers of teaching staff available and I will be writing to parents at the end of the first week back after the Easter break. If you have any questions or issues surrounding the proposed bank holiday revision on the 5th May please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dear Staff

After a number of years on the Governing Body of Glenmoor School and more recently as the Chair of the Local Governing Body of the Federation, I shall be standing down at the end of the Easter Term.  I have been pleased to contribute toward the evolution of the schools and I leave convinced that the efforts of the entire staff team, leaders at all levels, teachers and support staff, have brought both schools to a very high standard.

I am certain that these standards will be improved resulting in an excellent educational experience for the students.  I am equally confident that the recently expanded Local Governing Body will continue to support the schools by providing a considered response to the strategies proposed by United Learning and the leadership team.

With my best regards to you all.

Mr R Coe

1.SWAG Quiz and Supper raises over £600!

Many thanks to those parents, students and teachers who supported the quiz on Friday 21st March. It was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all. Special thanks to Rick Hesketh for being such an entertaining Quiz Master and for serenading the room in the final round! We were also very well supported by local businesses who kindly donated some brilliant raffle prizes which definitely helped our money making enterprise so a big "Thank you" to them.

SWAG is a society that brings teachers and parents together in order to: raise money for the school and the Jon egging Trust; support school events and the school vision; and raise positive awareness to the local community. If you would like to know more about helping out at SWAG events or if you would like to discuss ideas for fundraising then please contact me at rcoe@glenmoor,

2.Are you a local business person?

Do you provide a service or sell merchandise that might appeal to a captive female audience? Would you like the opportunity to promote your business or sell your goods at a Ladies Night organised by SWAG featuring a professionally run fashion show and entertainment? Do you want to beat the rush before we go Bournemouth wide? If the answer to these questions is "yes" then please make contact with me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
