Thought for the Week:
symbolises the death of the old; resurrection is a leap into the new (Deepak Chopra)
This week is the
most important week in the Christian calendar: Holy Week.
Christians in school and around the world will be celebrating Maundy
Thursday: when Jesus ate the last supper with His disciples; Good Friday: the
day when Jesus was crucified and, most importantly Easter Sunday: when
Jesus rose from the dead. For Christians, this is a celebration of renewal
and rebirth. The coming holidays should provide all of us with much needed rest
and, whether we believe in the Easter story or not, it is a chance for us to
renew ourselves physically and mentally.
