Topic title: Me, Myself and I 

Artists: Vincent Van Gogh and Phil Vance

• Developing work around the theme to make a personal response linked to your character. 
• Understanding the proportions and features that make up the portrait and using them in observational drawing. 
• Experimenting with typography to build tone into and image. 

This starts in the Spring term and finishes in the summer term.

Topic title: Journeys 

Artists: Simon Starling, Tom Philips, Ul De Rico, Kara Walker and Stacey Rozich

• Developing an understanding of the different types of journeys and producing illustrations. 
• Exploring new skills in creating and making a sketchbook from their images. 
• Trying different types of mixed media art to create each page. 
• Learning to use the style of the artist to influence all or part of the work.

Exam Unit 2 – Externally set (AQA) 

They produce an individual project covering all the AO’s based on a choice of one starting point out of 7 given by the exam board.

Year 11 Summer Term 

Continued for the first part of the Summer term, ending in a 10 hour controlled assessment. 

Fine Art, Graphics and Photography are set; 

Exam Unit 2 – Externally set (AQA) 

They produce an individual project covering all the AO’s based on a choice of one starting point out of 7 given by the exam board.
